Orly Ardon, PhD

Biography
Dr. Orly Ardon is the Science Manager for Digital Pathology Diagnostics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Pathology Department where she is heading one of the largest digital pathology operations in the US.
Before that, she was heading the development of novel computer assisted diagnostic tools and the expansion of digital pathology collaborative initiatives at ARUP Laboratories, a national reference lab in Salt Lake City, Utah. Orly has over thirty years of academic and diagnostic laboratory industry experience that includes laboratory test development in microbiology, immunology and genetics. Orly’s business experience includes US and global healthcare business development, laboratory new business and collaboration negotiations, team management and the development of innovative solutions to complex research problems.
Orly has BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Microbiology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and postdoctoral training in cell biology and virology at the University of Utah. She also has an Executive MBA from the University of Utah.
Orly has authored 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and a book chapter (cited more than 2000 times in scientific literature).
